The Proposal

Bought a voucher through Ensogo Philippines for a Buffet Dinner on a cruise ship last August 5. We purchased it because of the half price offer, Php645  Php319. We did not bother to check any reviews before purchasing the voucher since all that came out of our minds was that it was cheap and the experience of riding a cruise ship would be awesome. We had the voucher, all that was missing is a date when to try out cruise ship dinner. A month has passed when we purchased the voucher and we realized that the last day of availing the offer was getting near (November 4).

We had to set a date to make sure our voucher would not go to waste. Called Prestige Cruise ship to make reservations, October 17 8:00PM it is, dinner on a cruise ship with friends. To make it short, since it was set on a weekday we had to travel there after work. dinner at a cruise ship which we thought would be fun, but instead it turned out opposite of what we expected it to be. Dinner over Manila bay would have been great, but the smell of polluted water was distracting that it nearly made us lose our appetite. The food at Prestige Cruise ship wasn't close enough to what it was described in the promo. The food was indeed a buffet since you can go back as much as you want. But before you can get your meal, you need to fall in line...a really long line just to your food. The food served were chopseuy, pancit, lumpiang shanghai and many more. The dish wasn't that good since the taste would not make you want to go back for a second round or refill. The night was not that boring since aside from the boat ride around Manila bay, there was a small program led by an emcee and at the same time singing with the use of Karaoke.

The overall experience ok, though my friends didn't enjoy it at all. Instead, we decided to  do something else when the cruise arrived at the port just to make up of the not so good experience. We went over to SM by the Bay, where the MOA Eye was located. Asked my friends if we can ride the Ferris Wheel since it would be my first time to try a 180 feet ferries wheel. Friends agreed but did not expect that they had a plan for something. P150 for one round, we got tickets and rode the ferries wheel.

As I was looking down and checking the view inside of the cart, I heard my partner talking and as I turned around to look at him, was shock to find him starting his speech while holding something in his bag. Immediately, I started sweating and knew where his speech was heading because we've talked several times before about settling down. Since we were with friends in the cart I felt shy and at the same time I started to get teary eye. *Drama mode* HAHAHA...and when he popped the question, I said "Yes" and tried to hide my face from the camera since they we're taking pictures of me and him.

Barely expected my first ride at a 180 feet ferries wheel to be this memorable, since this is where my partner proposed to me...it may not be as grand as others but it was different in a way that not everyday you see someone propose in a ferries wheel cart.
