Food Taste @ Hizon's Catering

The most important part of reception, the food! Everything that everyone or every guest looks forward too, buffet meal.

Today, just had our food taste with our wedding caterer, Hizon's Catering. But before that, we had to find our way there since it was our first time to go to their head office which was located inside Sansville subdivision, Project 6, Quezon city. On our way there, we slightly got lost. We tried to use Apple Map (app on Iphone) to navigate our way to Hizon's but sadly it wasn't as good as Google Map. Instead we used the good, old fashion ask people around on how to get there. So our 10:00AM scheduled food tasting didn't start on time since we were still trying to find our way to our caterer. After 30 minutes, we found our way to Hizon's and entered a private lot, which to our amazement seemed to be a private family/business property because not only it was were the head office was located but we also saw several small houses which seemed to be where the owner's family live.

We were served different dish variations such as soup, fish, beef, pork, chicken and pasta. We had to choose one from two dishes for each variation. I've heard a lot of people complement about how good Hizon's food was and indeed this was the day that I would learn that what we they were all saying was true. We tried the dishes and enjoyed everything. We choose dishes that were not common to everyday meal. Won't post the names of the dishes we chose since this would be kept as a surprise on the big day. Hehehe...

All I can tell is that the food was worth it and we are sure that we've picked the right caterer. Happiness...

After food taste, next was ceremony set-up. Luckily we got Hizon's Catering as a wedding package offered by our venue, that is why they were also the ones in-charge with designing our ceremony. Glad that my wedding coordinator, Jenny, was with me cause I wouldn't be able to make all these decisions on my own. From table clothing, to wedding aisle, altar and many more.

Also had one of our friends accompany us because of his talent with foods. Sensitive tongue, we tell him was his gift cause he can identify small details that I myself won't even notice. All through out my fiancee, Ryan and his friend, Guy, helped us with every decision making at Hizon's.

Our day did not end with only Hizon's, but we had to look for our hotel accommodation for the day before and after the wedding. Which we found to be successful as well since the hotel we found was near our wedding venue and had great, cozy rooms (to be mentioned after the wedding). To make everything short, we were satisfied with one that we chose because not only it was near the venue but as mentioned the rooms look pretty cozy. Even if it may not be a 5-star hotel, that existed in cities. It was a good enough one, since it was good compared to the other hotels or resorts near the venue.

Last on our agenda was to visit the venue so that our coordinator would have an idea on how it looks like. Our venue is what we loved the most because of it being close to nature. Excited much on how our wedding would be like...87 days left til the big day!

  1. It was fun reading about your wedding preparations as I can relate to it at the moment. I’ve been helping out with the arrangements for my sister’s wedding and it’s been a fun experience so far. We have booked one of the well-known venues in Los Angeles for the wedding.
